This Beautiful World #5 (15 pics)

There are plenty of other incredibly talented artists out there who uses the most unusual materials to create their art. Joe Black is one of them.Using thousands of handmade badges depicting various images and icons, from the Vietnam War to Elvis Presley, Black manages to piece together amazingly detailed portraits. And if having the patience to create such wonderful mosaics wan’t impressive enough, nearly every one of the badges used is made by Joe Black himself, and relates to the artwork in some way.

For example, the portrait of Superman is made up of corporate and fast food logos to depict the notion of goodness defeated by our ever-growing need to consume. A mixed media artist by definition, Black also makes use of oil paints, acrylics and other mediums to complete his modern masterpieces.

The creators of comic girls have so much imagination and creativity, that even though the readers know about their non-existence, they kind of get attracted to them. 10. Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy was the creation of DC comics. Her real name was Pamela Lillian Isley. She was basically the super powered villain in the comics. She has the power to control plant life. Her first appearance in the comics was in Batman #181 (June 1966). In 1997, she appeared in Batman and Robin and was played by Uma Thurman. I think she nailed it pretty damn well. Since then the character in the movies has been dead. Comic book readers might not like Ivy because of her evilness but Thurman portraying Ivy might make them forget about her personality considering she looked so damn hot.
